DO I HAVE ANY CHANCES TO GO TO HARVARD?
I am a junior, probably Valedictorian, 14 AP classes, speak 4 languages, semi-finalist in the European Games of Mathematics, treasurer at NHS, 4.8 GPA, unweighted 4.0, Valedictorian in my previous school in Italy, volleyball, soccer, swimming, diving, debate club, bowling, student of the month, straight A's. SAT 2370 ACT 36 Teacher assistant doing lectures in class. I think you're the poster child for Harvard.

If you have a great paper, then you will have a good chance of getting in. Harvard is ridiculously expensive. State schools generally get you the same education with half the cost.

You have good extracurriculars, but you seem really scattered. Harvard frowns upon that. Yes you may be the student of the month but doing all those sports looks horrific on your essay. Just put one of those sports and two or three of those activities on (the MOST IMPORTANT ones--not just the ones that look good). Good GPA, Good SAT and ACT, and maybe your foreign-ness will help. You have a 40% chance of getting in compared to other applicants with pretty much the same exact application. The only thing that really stood out is the fact that you went to school in Italy and the European Games of Mathematics. The rest (the classes, the languages, the valedictorian, the student of the month) are pretty much on 95% of Harvard applications.

I think you have a chance in getting in. It also depends on your extra curricular activities and your SAT scores. If both of your parents make less then total of $60,000, Harvard pays for your tuition. I think it's a full year. A few months ago, my counselor had a signed saying that if your parents make less than that, you qualify for a full ride.

Just gonna throw this out there: I don't think you're being serious. If this is all true, you should KNOW you have a good shot at Harvard and you wouldn't be on here asking us if you could get in. Also, you have repetitively asked this sort of thing and your ACT/SAT scores vary just slightly everytime. That said, if you ARE being serious, then I can almost assure you that you will get in, unless there is something terrible you are hiding (i.e. you committed murder or embezzled or something lucrative like that).

Yes, you have a decent chance. But what is your passion? The Ivies like to see extracurriculars that have depth and focus. What one thing can you speak about with enthusiasm and sincerity? What have you done that is really special, unique? State or National awards? 85% of Harvard applicants are qualified, but only 7% are accepted. So you must stand out. (Which I'm sure you know!) A few recent Ivy standout applicants from one area, all with stellar grades and scores (very brief descriptions for anonymity): Female athlete (already accepted) Student with extensive work / awards in medical research Students who do autopsies Student engineer published with patent Student astrophysicist with awards Student co-wrote published article with professor from top university Students who started charities and do lots of hands on work on them Students with physical difficulties, yet top athletes and musicians Student with exceptional acting and singing talent / awards Most of these kids have personalities that stand out, too. Students with perfect scores and grades (some recent immigrants). And some of them are actually quite interesting kids, a few you would likely have seen on the news about their extracurricular activities (too unique to mention). As you can see, you might want to spin a little oomph into your resume. What can you play up? What about community service, anything? Do you have a passion you can use for community service? Have you been to Harvard? If not, I suggest you visit, to make sure it's the right fit for you. It's a great environment, just not everyone's cup of tea. You're quite a remarkable kid!
