Question for American high school student

Question for American high school students?
How much homework do you have? Have you to study a lot in the afternoon? I live in Italy and I last all my afternoon studying, I finish about 7.30/8.00 PM. And you?

what a great question i'm not american but i study from about 4 to 11 without any break between but i think they study less than this very fewer
2 :
all depends on what level you take we can take some college level courses and they have a lot of work and so do other advanced classes. Standard (we call college prep) have less. so anywhere from 2to 6 hours depending on courses and night.
3 :
It depends on my workload each night. My classes this semester are a bit rigorous and I have an AP class in which the teacher does not teach, doubling the amount of studying I must do :( I tend to stay up until 11 pm (my "bedtime" being 10) because I have so much studying to do.
4 :
I have between 30 minutes to an hour of homework every night. I don't normally study unless i have a test but when i do i study in school when i have study halls or free's and for around 20 minutes every night. I had basketball for the past three months so i'd usually finish everything around 10 PM.

Should I take the opportunity to study in Italy/Austria

Should I take the opportunity to study in Italy/Austria?
I'm from Canada & I'm graduating high school soon & I applied for 3 colleges/universities (Interior Design) which were Florence Design Academy International, University of Vienna & New York Institute of Technology- Old Westbury. I got accepted to all three but I'm having a tough time deciding weather I should go to USA and study or Italy/Austria?

i think for what you opt then i must say you should only go to italy italy is renowned for this plus it has a great lifestyle which you ll love for any further info regarding italy contact me......

I'd vote either Italy or Austria. You'll enjoy the cultural differences. I assume your Italian and German are at a high level.

Take it from someone who studied abroad, I DEFINITELY recommend going overseas to study. It seems like all your choices are out of your native country so good for you for getting out of your comfort zone. From the names, they all seem like they have a good program in what you want to do. I would look at the exchange rate, price of living and the location of the school in relation to things you like to do (activities in the water as opposed to on a mountain, for example). To look up the different programs, www.studyabroaddomain.com has some good information for you on a lot of different study programs and locations. Hope that helped!

In the US, we have 2-year colleges, 4-year colleges, and universities. 2-year colleges offer the 2-year associates degree, and 4-year colleges and universities both offer the 4-year bachelors degree. There is no difference between the degrees granted at 4-year colleges and universities; colleges tend to be smaller and don't have graduate programs, while universities tend to be larger and have graduate and/or professional programs. Graduate and professional programs are degree programs you enter after you finish your 4-year degree (called a bachelors degree); they include masters degree (2 additional years of coursework), Ph.D (2-6 years of research after the masters), MD (medical degree, 4 years after the bachelors), JD (law degree, 3 years after bachelors) and others.

In the US you go from high school to college or an university-they are the same thing. Once you get your Bachelor degree, which takes four years, you graduate and can go on to Graduate school for your Master degree, and then a Doctorate degree. Many University's have Graduate programs, so a student could stay at the same school.

Trip to Italy and Greece a no go

Trip to Italy and Greece a no go?
So im American and im set to go to italy and greece this june with my school. my parents are worried because of the recent news that has been in the paper about the two places. I was wondering if anyone who has been there recently or lives in either places could tell me if they think its a safe place to visit at the moment. Or anyone else who would like to say something. Im looking for different opinions so any replys are great. Thank you. They read some articles about riots. I havent read them myself but i have seen them in the papers.

Italy and Greece are safe. I'm not sure what articles they read, but it was probably grossly exaggerated. Of course there is some crime, but nothing to worry about, as it will most likely not affect tourists (Apart from pickpocketing. You'll be absolutely fine if you are with your school, so there's nothing to worry about. they wouldn't take schoolchildren to a dangerous country.

greece was kicking off something rotten recently but i think the target was the government not u.s. schoolchildren so i'd have thought you'd be alright. it was centered around the places populated by working greeks as opposed to tourist areas and i think it's calmed down now anyway. of course, if like me you love a good riot...

I'm sure they are perfectly fine countries to go visit as a U.S. student going on a school trip.
