Im going to italy/barcelona in april.what should I wear? What should i know about them

Im going to italy/barcelona in april.what should I wear? What should i know about them?
i will be 16, going with a school event over spring break. we're going to rome, and two other major cities. at the end of our trip we're going to barcelona,spain and going to a club. what should i wear when there? what should i wear to a club? where are the best (and not too expensive) places to shop for clothes? thanks!

burp after you eat. shows respect that the food was good. always finish your plate. if u dont its disrespectful. If someone gives u something, take it if u dont its disrespectful. just wear someting nice and classy just cause ur goin to a different country doesnt mean anything just wear what u want.

i live in italy at the moment, but i can't tell you about clubbing since i don't go. If you really wanna fit in, you should wear peacoats and scarves and tight pants, expensive heels and nice purses. that's the main fashion here. there aren't a lot of cheap stores, especially if you're american. if you decide to carry a purse with a wallet in rome, WATCH IT LIKE A HAWK. the pickpockets there are really clever. DON'T burp after you eat, that's rude, and don't wipe up any kind of sauce with your bread, for some reason, that's considered rude too.

Should I go to Italy or Japan

Should I go to Italy or Japan?
Ok I'm almost out of High School and once I graduate the first thing I'm doing is moving FAR away'but I cant decide If I want to go to Italy or Japan I am fluent in both language(I'm also fluent in French)So what do you guys recommend?

I'd visit all three (including France), just because those are my top three choices as well. But, I'm assuming that money is a limiting factor, so I'd have to say Italy.

Japan. Who wants to go to a country where the women have more body hair than you do ?

I'd say quality of life, the food, the weather will all be better in Italy or France. Japan is the most advanced Asian country, but you really can't compare it to Europe.

japan all the way! but you should look online to see what both places offer and maybe which one isnt to expensive so then you can pick the best

It would seem that you are in a better position to answer your question than we can. You know your priorities and preferences, we don't. Speaking both languages fluently gives you some good insight into cultural/lifestyle differences. It isn't possible to become fluent and not pick those things up. As a resident of Japan, Italy seems exotic and inviting. I imagine that if I lived in Italy I would see Japan as exotic and inviting. I have been sleeping with my wife for 15 years. If I started sleeping with my wife's beautiful younger sister I might enjoy it. I hope that clears things up for you.

what are the best things to do in Florence, Italy

what are the best things to do in Florence, Italy?
im planning on going to florence this summer and would like to know things to do there? places to eat, see, anything? but most importantly is there any basketball courts there? i know europe isnt as fond of basketball as the united states is but i am particularly interested in basketball and have to write an article on european basketball by playing a game down there for my school paper. any help finding basketball courts would be nice

I just wrote my penpal who lives in Prato, a suburb of Florence. He said there is a cathedral, an emperor's castle, and a textile museum in his town. He said there aren't many tourists because it isn't near the city center. Downtown Florence gets super crowded in June and July with tourists, so Prato might be a nice trip off the beaten path. It would be fun to take a walking tour of downtown Florence. Its very compact, you can see a lot on foot. See all the cathedrals, the Duomo, Santa Maria Novella. Dress conservatively when touring the churches, or they'll make you buy a paper gown to wear inside and cover yourself. Definitely have some gelato. I have yet to find gelato in the states as good as in Florence. My favorite was tiramisu gelato, with the chunks of ladyfingers in it. Try the blood oranges. They are sweeter nowhere else. Fried iris petals- sound wierd to eat, but they are really good. I'm not sure what the Italian name is for them. Its an appetizer. And of course, eat some tiramisu. They pronounce tiramisu with a lot of flair- tea-RAHH-me-soo. Don't know much about b-ball though.

The best thing to do in Florence is to see David's statue and the Basilica.

I just got back from Italy 3 days ago. While there, we visited Florence so I can give you some valuable advice. Take guided tours, do not rent a car and drive yourself. You will see so much more if you are with a group. Driving in Florence is a nightmare if you don't know the city. Enjoy your trip.

hey guys..i need a little help with my school report..i live in italy and i must write a report for our local council and offer some ideas about how to update the image of our town to attract young people from other countries...this is what i wrote: This report is intended to recommend ways in which the town could update its image to attract more young people from abroad. I have discussed the question with my friends and most of them think that the following ideas should be considered by the local council if it wants to improve the image of our town. 1.Build an accomodation centre with low prices specially for them. 2.Organise shows with the live performances of local singers.I think they would really enjoy themselves. 3.Renew the gym and install new equipment.It's very important for young people to be fit,because nowadays the appearance means a lot. 4.what else does our town need to become more well-known ?Advertising,of course!I suggest opening a web site.Write on it all the information about Civitanova Marche,all the news,this way people will be updated and will know all the dates of the parties,shows,openings,everything! This way ,i think our town has very good chances to become more famous.I hope all my ideas are feasible and the local council will take them into consideration. could you please correct the mistakes and add other thing..ideas...just invent something please help me :D ...thank you a lot :) and of course 10 points go to the best answer ;)

Make a more eco-friendly town. Create a whole knew rail system that saves gas. Cities are doing that now and ones that do it get alot of people. People are going crazy about the enviroment nowadays and you could center an entire city off of one rail system.. Cities that change for the better are advertised because of their importance so thats alot of free advertisment as well.

This sounds like a worthwhile project and a way to get more involved. I will help you all that I can. I will capitalize the alternatives that I would recommend. This report is intended to recommend ways in which OUR town could update its image to attract more young people from abroad. (note: changing "the" to "our" you will be making yourself part of the town.) I have discussed the question with my friends and most of them think that the following ideas should be considered by the local council if it wants to ENHANCE the image of our town. (Note: ENHANCE is more positive than "improve" which could be taken as a comment of failure on the council's part.) 2.Organise shows with the live performances of local singers and other local talent to entertain the tourists. (note: a little rewording puts the point of interest on the visitor while offering opportunities to get more locals involved which will produce revenue for the town.) 3.UPGRADE AND/OR EXPAND the gym and ALL ITS equipment. THE GYM WILL BE A BENEFIT IN MARKETING OUR TOWN FOR TOURISM TO THIS AGE GROUP. (note: tell them why it is a benefit to the town. They don't really care about the fitness of young people. They are interested in what kind of money is it going to cost and what will the town benefit from it.) Those few alternatives will make it stronger in the aspect of being beneficial as far as the town council is concerned. The website is a great idea and an absolute necessity. Think about what kind of tours of the surrounding area can be put together for the tourists. Does your town have a festival or celebration during the year that could be advertised? If not, what kind of festival would represent your town the best or would fit into the culture of your area. What about some sort of music festival? One of the keys is to show the town leaders how they can pay for the improvements and end up increasing revenue in the town. The "them" in 1 should be defined, e.g. Young international tourists. Do you not have any natural attractions which could be advertised / updated Wine bars & inexpensive restaurants are also popular Guide books in foreign languages. Good luck
